We ask that you respect the rights of the person who created the pieces of
lampwork art jewelry you will see in this contest.
Be awed,
be inspired,
be overwhelmed.
But, don’t copy any of the designs.
There will be a series of five contests, each with its own focus,
Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, other adornments and decor items.
Each contest features jewelry or items created with artist made lampwork, beads, pendants
or some other form of lampworked glass.

This is a fledgling adventure for me, and I am open to kind suggestions, ideas and comments.
I look forward to the camaraderie and exposure a lampwork jewelry contest can bring to
the lampwork glass community. Times are tough and we need to
work together to create
interest in our beloved work.
I think that’s there no better way than finished jewelry to showcase the end result of our creativity.
I always felt that my beads were only the beginning of the process of lovely jewelry.
It was truly thrilling when a show customer brought the finished jewelry,
featuring the bead they purchased from me, to the next show.
It’s like watching your child receive an advanced degree.
It is my hope that these contests and the ones that come after
introduce lampwork to people who have never heard of us.
